Size 5 Body

I had a StrollerFit mom ask me if her reward for going to class is a size 5 body. This started me thinking, size 5, when was I last a size 5? Is it about size or health or how you feel inside and out?

As a ponder this I think to myself, my goal post Joey was to get back into shape, what does that mean? With 8 weeks left to go in this pregnancy with Baby Fisher2, where do I see myself post pregnancy?

So I pose the above questions to my StrollerFit moms - think about it, what are your individual goals, why do you come to class and why are you joining my challenge to schedule in your workout like any other appointment?

The answer will be different for each of us. Before getting pregnant with Baby Fisher2 I lost 28 pounds, 6 pounds was left over pregnancy weight from Joey, 22 was weight I needed to lose before Joey. I wanted to lose more, but I got pregnant again. I did StrollerFit and Restore the core and was down 3 pants sizes. My StrollerFit moms know that post baby I will begin weight watchers again, because I find it works for me and I believe two of you will be joining me. That plus Strollerfit, Restore The Core and MommymuscleSculpt will help me get to my individual goal and to stay there in the future!!! Most importantly for me is the support that the StrollerFit moms give each other during the Journey called Motherhood. This helps me to focus on my goals, with weight, fitness and in life.

I hope I give the StrollerFit Moms the same things that they give me and want to say thank you for all you give me. And I want you all to ponder the size 5 question....

Diabetes, the Holiday's and Lots of Snow and The StrollerFit Challenge

Ok I have less than 8 weeks to my due date and I am still running, lunging and doing the Restore the Core moves that the baby likes. I am getting into trouble with the OB, not for the exercise but because I am losing weight, they know the baby is growing and the same thing happened during my pregnancy with Joey at the same point in the pregnancy. I have a few theories why this happens to me.

1. Every time I sit down to eat, Joey eats half of my meal or snack
2. While pregnant with Joey I was always moving around the office, now with this pregnancy I am chasing Joey
3. I was borderline with the gestational diabetes with my pregnancy with Joey and again this time, so I am eating lots of small meals of high protein
4. And my last theory is Joey was very high at the end of my pregnancy, pushing up on my stomach so I could not eat very much in one sitting, and this baby is doing the same

So I guess I will continue to get in trouble from the OB. But even with April's homemade candy and the other holiday treats I have kept my blood sugar in the appropriate range, partially because Joey has eaten most of stuff I tasted and I sent most of it to Scott's work.

Today, I went out and you would never know that we had 12-18 inches of snow on the ground only 3 days ago. Joey loved being in the snow, he even helped daddy shovel with his small sand shovel. Tomorrow is suppose to be 65 degrees, so the rest of the snow will probably vanish. If I had a StrollerFit class on Sunday, I would hold it outside in this amazing weather, how weird.

Ok so now I know you all want to know who won the StrollerFit - Schedule your workout contest. Before I tell you I must tell you that when I told the winner she asked what contest, are you mailing me a million dollars? How she missed the emails and the blog and the info sent thru the StrollerFit - Blackstone Valley Meetup, I do not know. But I want to congratulate and say way to go:

Alysa Cohen

Keep up the good work! I wonder who will win next week. So far week one was Drea, week two Danielle, Week three Alysa and Restore the Core is Heather.

Another week of the StrollerFit Schedule your workout challenge

What a week it has been. We have had ice, rain and snow!!! But the moms have been out with the kids and working hard to schedule the workout into there crazy lives.

This weeks winner is Danielle. Congrats Danielle.

So here is the question, Drea won, week one, Danielle week two, who will week three, one of them, or someone else, since it is x-mas week? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Joey and I have seen a lot of Danielle and her girls Kacey and Ella This week. Between class and a play date the three of them have made me laugh to the point I almost wet myself.

Many of you do not know but my husband Scott has become part of the StrollerFit team, he watches Joey and the older kids during Mommymuscle Sculpt in return for credits towards buying a new video game. This week we demoed StrollerFit and Mommymuscle Sculpt (And Restore the Core if the snow stops in time for 8 am Sat AM)at the new January location, RBI's and Ella, Kacey and Joey had Scott running crazy. the had every ball out, they tried to escape and they played tag. I am not sure we moms got the best workout, but Scott did and we had a great laugh. Isn't laughing a tummy exercise, as long as the belly button is to the spine??????????

Anyhow, it has been a crazy week, with lots of memories and I can not wait to make more. 8 weeks till the new baby is due to arrive. The space in RBI's is huge and we ran a lot this week. After the running it felt like the baby was doing a jig, not sure if he/she liked it or not but I felt great!

During the snow yesterday, Joey ventured out with his shovel to help daddy. Don't think he helped much but he and Raven the dog had fun making a mess and getting all wet. I was smart, I took the pictures. That's all for now.

Have fun getting ready for the holiday's and remember put your sneakers on and get out of the house for an hour, get the workout in and do something for yourself, the kids will love you for it.

StrollerFit "Schedule your work out Challenge"

So we are into week two of the challenge. The challenge is on and it was a close but Drea won the first week. It will be interesting to see what happens with the holidays over the next two weeks.

Ladies keep up the good work!!

So we tested the new space for January - RBI's in Whitinsville and it was like being outside again, we had so much space and ran a lot, so much that my legs hurt. Baby Fisher to be did not like the running, I think I work him/her up from a nap. But with 9 weeks to go til my due date the baby will have to adjust his or her sleeping time by an hour or so because the exercise keeps me energized to chase Joey and will help post delivery.

Just a reminder, Wed we will be holding Mommymuscle Sculpt at RBI's, Friday's StrollerFit will be at RBI's and Saturday RBI's will be hosting a Restore the Core pre-holiday workout extravaganza. Hope to see lots of you at these events.

StrollerFit Challenge, plan your workout into your calendar

i received another StrollerFit owners Blog today and she said "Plan StrollerFit into your schedule! Your workout should be an appointment on your calendar. Schedule doctor’s appointments and other events around your workout! Not only will you find yourself in the TOP 3 for the next contest, but you will find you look and FEEL better! Exercise will get you through this hectic time of year. YOU have to plan for it!!"

This makes sense to me so I am challenging my StrollerFit and Restore the Core Moms to make class and for every class they make from now until January 30, 2009 they will receive a point. If they are first to class they will receive another point. If they bring a friend they get a point and if the friend joins they will receive 5 extra points. The weekly winner will get a shirt and the winner of the whole contest which will start tomorrow December 5, 2008 will get an extra special gift bag from local retailers. (this includes StrollerFit and Mommymuscle Sculpt Classes)

We will also do a seperate contest for Restore the Core with the same rules, so those that do StrollerFit and Restore the Core could get double lucky!

After Turkey Day before the made rush in December

Pregnant, chasing a one year old who eats most of my meal, teaching Restore the Core twice a week, Mommymuscle Sculpt once a week and 4 days of StrollerFit and the OB wonders why I lost weight during Thanksgiving...

Cindy another StrollerFit owner just gave birth and after her c-section the doctor said he skipped a layer of fat, because it was not there, she says look what StrollerFit and Restore the Core did for her. I agree.

I am losing my maternity pants, even the ones that were loaned to me that are smaller than the ones I wore in my last pregnancy. It ia amazing how the body changes with a good workout.

So I am chjallenging my moms from now til January 31 to lose weight and not gain the Holiday 10.

MommyMuscle Workouts for the Holidays

With the Holidays upon us, I have been thinking how do I help myself and my moms get there workouts in while everything else is going on. I saw an article about doing your age in push-ups and thought to my self what a great idea. How about doing not only push ups but tabletop crunches, lunges and other quick exercises based on your age. This would be do able throughout the day when you can not make it to class.

So I am challenging my SF moms to pick a few exercises including push-ups and on days they can not make a SF class, then do the choosen exercise throughout the day and the goal is to do atleast there age for each exercise. Lets see where this goes.

Halloween Candy

Halloween is not here yet and I am already maxed on candy left over from the StrollerFit Fall Festival. We had Healthy snacks like Apple Berry Salsa, and the candy was to take home, but I bought too much and am eating it.

Thank god for StrollerFit. I am going to run extra hard today to burn off what I ate and I made my husband take the rest to work. I can usually limit myself, but I have decided out of site out of mind is just better.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Ohio at the Cinicinnati Fitness Conference

So it is Sunday and the conference, but what a week its been. Joey and I started with a visit with our cousins in columbus and then with our Strollerfriends in Cinicinnati. The Conference is over and the trip is coming to an end tomorrow early in the morning, but I am pumped. I have learned many new moves from StrollerFit owners and instructors and learned all about the four chooses for Mom and Tot Yoga. My clients will be doing all new things this week and hopefully burning a lot of calories while toning up.

I also made some great new friends who I will keep in touch with and who I will continue to share great ideas with. So to everyone out there with a stroller join a StrollerFit class and see what you and your child can so. If your children are out of the Stroller try Restore the Core and see what we can do to help rid you of the low belly sag, because the programs are amazing and the new moves I have learned will only make it better!!!!

Working out, Runnin g a StrollerFit Franchise, Chasing a 14 month old all while being Pregnant

So blogging is new for me. I decided to start a blog to answer the question I get everyday, how do I do StrollerFit and Restore the Core while pregnant.

Some days are tougher than others, but after the workouts I have more energy than I had before and it allows me to chase my son.

Earlier in my pregnancy the humidity was hard on me as was the running, but I worked my way through the tough days by making some of the workouts moves less impact for me, while my moms kept going at full pace. I must thank them for being supportive and making the first trimester so much easier.

Now into the second trimester I am feeling great and back to runnin g and doing most Restore the Core Moves. I do not do the moves that bother the baby but other wise full steam ahead.

Today it is rainign again so we are moving indoors but no matter where we are I will be with my son, the best part of the workout!
